Cowriting this was a joy. We each took a character and wrote a chapter before passing it back. I remember being so excited to jump in and read Charlee's newest chapter. We'd discuss the basics of how we wanted the story to go, but a lot of it came as a surprise as we went. There were two imaginations involved--two wells of inspiration that we swam in and this book was the result. It only really took us about two weeks to write because we were so excited. Editing was much more difficult. Partially because every edit had to be checked with the other person and partially because there was a long gap between us finishing the first draft and editing, so we lost a bit of enthusiasm. What makes this story special is that it sparkles with the chemistry that me and Charlee share. Our friendship dazzles from every character interaction because that's how we wrote it. It was as natural as texting your bestie. (Does that make it like sexting when you guys write steamier scenes...

Look who got a nice new look! I'm only partly through a rebranding of this book but it has a new title, cover, and blurb. Red Ribbon Tree is a Middle-Grade Fantasy Romance about two high school students that get pulled through a book portal. To return home, they must solve the mystery of the Red Ribbon Tree. While the book is nice and includes some cool illustrations, the audiobook of this is AMAZING. The actress is absolutely incredible giving a hilarious and memorable accent to each character and springing the story to life. If you have Audible or like audiobooks, I highly recommended Red Ribbon Tree. So the female main character, Eliza, is a jock and the male main character is a video gamer. Which do you think will be better at fighting dragons?
